Our GOal
What's it All About?
We formed Good People Good Vibes to make it fun and easy to be involved. We're rallying the area's finest tennis players and people together to hit a winner for one of our favorite local charities.
We're back at it! Our fall charity tennis tournament will be hosted at the Racquet Club of St. Pete on Saturday, November 8th. Join us for friendly competition where you'll meet new people, play fun, fast-paced tennis where your partner changes every 15 minutes. Carry your score with you as you move up or down the river. Who will end up on top, with those most points?
Who's it For?
Charlie’s Champs, founded in St. Petersburg, FL is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing children with disabilities opportunities of joy, companionship, and physical fitness.
They strive to provide events for those kids who cannot participate in little league and soccer and martial arts, etc. Adaptive equipment will be provided specific for each disability so kids can play and be a part of organized sporting events, allowing the children and their families to enjoy being on a team with others.
Our goal is to provide adaptive bicycles for 3 kids who have been on the waiting list. These Adaptive bicycles aren’t mass-produced—they’re custom-engineered for children with unique physical or cognitive needs. Built one at a time with specialized frames, stabilizing wheels, and adaptive seating, they require precision design and materials that make them far more expensive than traditional bicycles. The average adaptive bicycle costs approximately $2,500. That's where Good People Good Vibes can help!
Juliet
Juliet suffered a devastating drowning accident that left her with a severe brain injury, changing the course of her life and her family’s forever. Since then, her journey has been marked by countless therapies, treatments, and relentless advocacy to give her every possible chance at recovery.
A specialized adaptive bike would be another powerful tool in her progress—helping to strengthen her muscles, improve coordination, and spark new brain connections—while also giving her the joy and freedom every child deserves.
Brandon (BJ)
In 2022, Brandon(BJ) had a near drowning accident while visiting his family. He had just turned three years old and suffered a severe anoxic brain injury. He’s since been diagnosed with cerebral palsy, he’s a spastic quadriplegic, and has been attending therapy to help him get stronger. Brandon is now six years old in the 1st grade. He’s getting stronger holding his head and has learned how to swallow again.
An adaptive bike will help him play with his little sister outside and help him use muscles he’s not able to use on his own.
